Description
Carnivorous plants naturally grow in nutrient-poor soils, so it’s essential that their growing medium mimics these conditions. Our Sandy Soil Mix is a carefully balanced blend of pure, nutrient-free, pH-balanced peat moss, perlite, and silica sand, designed to provide excellent drainage while still holding the moisture these plants need.
This mix is especially well-suited to Cephalotus and Drosera Regia, offering the airy, free-draining structure their roots prefer.
The Blend
1 part standard carnivorous soil mix
1 part pure silica sand
Each bag contains approximately the volume of a 1-litre jug.
Mix thoroughly before use, as settling may occur during storage. Always pre-dampen the medium before planting, as dry peat is naturally water-repellent and needs time to absorb moisture properly.
