Description
Carnivorous plants naturally grow in nutrient-poor soils, so it’s important that their growing medium mimics these conditions as closely as possible. This Carnivorous Plant Soil Mix is ideal for Butterworts, as it is light, airy, and moisture-retentive without being heavy or compacted.
The blend consists of pure, nutrient-free, pH-balanced peat moss combined with perlite, creating a well-draining medium that keeps roots healthy while holding just the right amount of moisture.

1 part Carnivorous Plant Mix
1 additional part Perlite
Each bag contains approximately the volume of a 1-litre jug.
Before use, mix thoroughly as settling may occur during storage. Always pre-dampen the medium before planting, as dry peat is naturally water-repellent and needs time to absorb moisture properly.
