Natural sphagnum moss is an outstanding growing medium for carnivorous plants such as Nepenthes, and is also ideal for rooting cuttings and leaf propagations. Its unique structure allows it to hold large amounts of moisture while still maintaining excellent airflow around the roots, helping plants stay hydrated without the risk of rot.
Sphagnum moss can be used on its own or mixed into your Carnivorous Soil Mix to create a lighter, airier medium – perfect for plants that prefer extra root oxygenation.

Each bag contains approximately the volume of a 2-litre jug.
Before use, mix thoroughly as settling may occur during storage. Always pre-dampen the moss before planting, as dry sphagnum is naturally water-repellent and needs time to absorb moisture properly.
