Carnivorous plants are plants, and like all other plants, their leaves, traps, or pitchers will eventually die off. This is perfectly normal, and new growth will replace them in no time.
However, from an aesthetic point of view, who wants a Pitcher Plant or Venus Fly Trap full of dead leaves or traps? However, cutting off too much can reduce photosynthesis’s effectiveness, ultimately weakening it.
The video below will show you how to safely cut off dead traps or pitchers without detriment to the plant, and leave your plant looking frisk and happy, like its just had a full day spa treatment :-)
