This past week brought an unexpected but truly breathtaking transformation to the nursery—a heavy snowfall that turned everything into a magical winter wonderland! The sight was like something out of a fairy tale, with the entire landscape blanketed in soft, sparkling snow. Even the carnivorous plants seemed to embrace the gentle snowfall, their traps and leaves dusted in a layer of white.

While the extreme cold meant we had to bring the tropical plants inside for shelter, I’m thrilled to say that most of them weathered the last four days remarkably well. Despite the initial shock of being covered in snow, they’re now looking healthier than ever, and the nursery has never looked more enchanting.

Thankfully, the damage was minimal, and the plants have bounced back beautifully. There’s something strangely magical about seeing these tropical and carnivorous plants thriving amid such unusual conditions. It’s a reminder of nature’s resilience, and I couldn’t be more proud of how our Hungry Little Savages handled the challenge.

The Doggos though took a lot more convincing :-)
